Inauguration of ICG Jetty at Vadinaar, Dwaraka (Gujarat) by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt

Raksha Rajya Mantri, Shri Ajay Bhatt inaugurated the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Jetty Vadinar in Gujarat.
The jetty construction was undertaken by Deendayal Port Authority at a cost of Rs. 74 Crores.

Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Summary

Around 5,000 out of 8,000 registered Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) are on the ONDC platform for selling produce online nationwide.
Over 8,000 FPOs have been registered against the government's target of 10,000 under a scheme launched in 2020 with a budget of Rs 6,865 crore.
Credit Guarantee has been issued to 1,101 FPOs, covering more than 10.2 lakh farmers with a guaranteed coverage of Rs 246.0 crore.
FPOs provided financial assistance of up to Rs 18.00 lakh per FPO for three years and matching equity grant up to Rs 15.00 lakh per FPO.
The formation of FPOs helps in enhancing market linkages, providing better technology, credit access, and improved income for farmers.
FPOs are formed in produce clusters for economies of scale, market access, and specialization under the "One District One Product" cluster approach.
The key objectives include forming new FPOs, enhancing productivity, providing support for up to 5 years, building capacity, and promoting sustainable farming practices.

APEDA Facilitates India's First Commercial Trial Shipment of Pomegranates to the US via Sea

India's first commercial trial shipment of Sangola pomegranates to the US via sea was facilitated by Agricultural Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
The shipment comprised of 4200 boxes (12.6 tons) and was flagged off from IFC facility, Vashi (Navi Mumbai).
APEDA aims to open trade relations to potential markets for Indian pomegranates, with India being one of the largest producers of pomegranates in the world.
The shipment was carried out by APEDA registered InI Farms, a top exporter of fruits and vegetables from India.
Pomegranate is an important agri-produce of India with high demand due to its rich history, nutrition value, and quality.

Financial Intelligence Unit-India Imposes Penalty on Paytm Payments Bank Ltd

The Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) has imposed a penalty of Rs. 5,49,00,000 on Paytm Payments Bank Ltd for violations under PMLA.
Violations included breaches of obligations under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and related rules and guidelines.
The penalty was imposed after a review initiated based on specific information received from law enforcement agencies regarding illegal activities like online gambling.
The proceeds of crime from these illegal activities were found to be channeled through bank accounts held by entities with Paytm Payments Bank Ltd.
FIU-IND issued a compliance Show Cause Notice citing violations of PML Rules related to AML/CFT/KYC safeguards in payout services and beneficiary accounts.
After considering the submissions from the bank, FIU-IND found the charges substantiated and imposed the penalty on March 1st, 2024.

Revised figures for Gross National Disposable Income, Net National Disposable Income, and Per Capita GNDI (in INR) for the years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24 have been provided with percentage changes over the previous years.
Gross National Disposable Income (GNDI) increased from 2,39,25,034 in 2021-22 to 2,98,39,727 in 2023-24 with a percentage change of 14.5% over the previous year.
Net National Disposable Income (NNDI) rose from 2,12,58,230 in 2021-22 to 2,64,42,791 in 2023-24 with a percentage change of 14.1% over the previous year.
Per Capita Gross National Disposable Income increased from 1,74,816 in 2022-23 to 2,13,905 in 2023-24 with a percentage change of 13.3% over the previous year.
